| | Akron Central Engraving Mold & Machine Company primarily produces
two types of tire molds. These types are standard throughout the industry.
We currently have dual and multi-axis CNC (Computer Numeric Control) programming
and equipment for all aspects of producing tire molds, from turning to
engraving. The tire molds we produce are typically made from steel and
aluminum materials.
- Two-piece Molds
-
Two-piece molds consist of basically two halves. There is
a top and bottom half which opens away from each other to allow the
green tire to be placed inside and the cured tire to be extracted out
of the mold. We make about five different types of two-piece
molds. The different types are customer specific to their needs.
- Segmental Mold
-
Segmental molds consist of tread segments and sidewall
plates. With this product there is a need for the tread segments
to actually push into the green tire and pull away from the cured
tire. This process makes for and easy extraction of the tire
from the mold.
- Specialized Mold
-
Akron Central Engraving Mold & Machine Company, Inc. has
produced a variety of different types of molds to fulfill our
customers needs. We work together with our customers to find a
solution to any special needs they may have.
